F1 Grand Prix prizewinner

Our competition to WIN GRANDSTAND TICKETS TO THE BRITISH F1 GRAND PRIX by recording the fastest lap on our F1 simulator attracted a constant stream of enthusiasts to the retail park on Saturday.

More than 60 dads, sons, mums and daughters took up the challenge in the FREE TO ENTER event throughout the day with some spotting the competition while out shopping but many others making a special trip after seeing the details posted on Facebook.

Pictured right is one of the contestants watched by his son.

It was a unique opportunity to win tickets for two adults OR one adult and one child in grandstand seating and circuit car parking at the Silverstone Grand Prix on July 8.

Try as they might, no-one could topple Mark Bramford from the the No1 spot after he recorded a brilliant time of 38.147 secs early in the day.

Mark saw challengers get closer and closer and Tom Kempster put up a magnificent fight with 38.679 secs just failing to get to the front.

Twenty five year old Mark, who lives in Nuneaton, was full of praise for the competition and for the prize!

“It was a great competition, especially as it was free, and what a great prize. It was really good fun and although I knew it was a pretty good time I didn’t expect to still be at the top at the end of the day.

“I was out shopping with my partner and she spotted the simulator when we parked the car. I’m a life-long fan of Formula One and I’ve been playing with the idea of going to the Grand Prix for some time but could never afford it so will now be able to go, taking my partner with me.”
